Home Our Story

Summer doesn’thave to end.

Every good summer memory has a drink in it. We wanted one that tasted as good in January as it did at the lake.

Where it started

The drink everyone makes, and nobody gets right.

Bourbon and lemonade is one of the great American summer drinks. It is also one of the easiest to ruin: powdered mix, the cheap bottle, a heavy pour that tastes fine for one glass and terrible by the third.

The canned versions weren’t much better. Fizzy, syrupy, a flavor where the bourbon should be. Nothing that tasted like it came out of a barrel.

So we built it from the barrel out. Real Kentucky bourbon aged in toasted American oak, lemons squeezed fresh, a sprinkling of pure cane sugar. Still, not fizzy. 6.9%, so the afternoon lasts.

Bourbon and lemonade, poured with intent.

How we make it

Four rules we don’t bend

The barrel comes first

Kentucky bourbon aged in toasted American oak is the reason this tastes like a cocktail and not a soda. We build everything else around it.

Three ingredients, all real

Bourbon, fresh-squeezed lemon, pure cane sugar. Naturally flavored, no artificial anything, gluten free.

Still, on purpose

No carbonation. It pours smooth, travels well and doesn’t go flat halfway through the afternoon.

Paced for a long day

6.9% in a 12 oz can: strong enough to be a real drink, easy enough to enjoy from lunch to sunset.

Its sibling is Hole in 1, a handcrafted vodka cocktail with black tea, lemon and tupelo honey, built for the golf course. Different occasions, same rule: real ingredients, no shortcuts.
